Lighting Inspiration

Statement lighting is an easy way to display the personality of your home. Upgrading your lighting alone will refresh your surroundings and can even lower energy costs when chosen wisely.  Lighting can affect your mood and even the overall perceived size of a space, which is why it is an essential element to any design scheme.  Correct lighting can drastically alter the atmosphere of your room, it can enhance the colours used in your décor, and it can even prove useful in marking different areas of your home.  We wanted to share with you in this blog post about lighting we have incorporated into our past projects. Lighting can be a real focal point in a room so ensuring we have the perfect lights for our clients is a must. Where we can, we like to inject a feature that is a little out of the ordinary and unique for our clients.

We loved installing this glass installation which is called a chandelier coffin. Inside the level glass container is a shattered chandelier, the glitter and sparkle fulfils the whole space with beaming shine, a truly individual piece. This light really is a focal point to the room and where it is positioned over the dining table provides the perfect amount of light.

For the below project in Belgravia the positioning of the lights were important as it was in the kitchen area. The lighting in this area served a dual purpose as the kitchen serves as the ‘hub’ in most modern homes. The lighting had to be bright enough for when you’re preparing and cooking food on the kitchen worktops and hob, but they also had to provide mood and atmosphere when sitting down to eat and socialising. It was important to remember that each light will serve a function – whilst enhancing the style of the kitchen. For this project we installed these beautiful ceiling pendants which

features a circular polished chrome ceiling plate with a clear cable holding a translucent glass dome shaped shade in a clear finish. Again these were another focal point to the room, that adds a contemporary feel.

Colour is always used to personalise a space and colourful interiors are becoming more of popular as we back away from bland, safe, some say overused colours.

We injected a bit more colour into the below project with this pendant light. This light definitely has a sense of fun with bold standout colours. Having the red dining chairs really complement and work well with the colours in the pendant.

The positioning of this pendant light really makes it a focal point above the dining table. The uniqueness of this light made it a really fun feature to incorporate in this project.
